WISDOM AND STRENGTH: 2 CLASSICAL VIRTUES FOR A SUPER BODY, SUPER BRAIN

Wisdom and Strength by Renaissance Painter Veronese. Painting at the Frick Museum,New York City

Who doesn’t want to get smarter? Can you just have it all? Take a look at your own inner virtues:  WISDOM AND STRENGTH.

Classical Greece and Wisdom and Strength

In Classical Greece Gods and Goddesses represented an ideal of human potential or human virtue. Wisdom and Strength are still two of the most desired virtues event today. In other words,  to achieve these two virtues was almost a matter of becoming a God, that’s why they had different Gods and Goddesses to represent Wisdom: Greek Goddess Athena and to represent Strength, Speed and Victory:  The Goddess Nike.

Freemasonry and Wisdom and Strength

According to the masons, everything was based in three pillars: the trinity Wisdom-Strength-Beauty.  Pursuing Wisdom and Strength will make you a better and more enlightened human being.

Our Society: Up to Us to Achieve Wisdom and Strength

Do you know that is up to us to achieve those powerful virtues of Wisdom and Strength?  How do we do that?  To achieve that we need to have a curious and  an unstoppable mind looking to improve and enhance our mental, cognitive and physical powers. Do we need to be like Socrates, Obama or Michael Phelps? Absolutely not! We all can achieve those powerful virtues: It is just a matter of Consistency, discipline and hunger for reaching our maximum potential.

SATURDAY AT THE FRICK MUSEUM LOOKING AT WISDOM AND STRENGTH BY VERONESE

This last weekend I was visiting one of  my favorite museums in New York City, The Frick Museum. What an incredible museum, every step, every room, every painting leaves your breathless to say the least.

There it was, one of my favorite paintings: WISDOM AND STRENGTH by Renaissance painter Veronese. The painting is located  in Mr Frick’s living room to the left, on the far right corner. Renaissance was known with that period in History where classical values were revived, transformed or enhanced to an ideal of reaching our maximum potential.

Look at Veronese’s incredible Master Paintings:

Is it possible to be wiser and stronger everyday?

Looking at that painting i was wondering to myself: Is it possible to achieve wisdom and strength? In really simple terms  isn’t up to us to gain knowledge everyday  and progressive strength? Can’t we just be wiser and stronger mentally and physically every day?  Absolutely!

What does it mean to me to have a Super Body, Super Brain?
