Try some exercises that combine balance with cardio and strength. They can improve athletic performance as well as overall coordination, says personal trainer Michael Gonzalez-Wallace. He recommends this three-part power workout 3 days a week:
1) Face your kid from 10 feet away. As you each son one foot, briskly toss a small pillow back and forth 10 times. Switch feet and repeat.
