Stop blaming yourself that you have fat genes and that is why you can get to lose weight or get toned. Researchers in United Kingdom have been following 12 genetic variants known to increase the risk of obesity and tracked the physical activity levels of over 20,000 people. Their findings and conclusions: Physical activity can reduce the genetic tendency towards obesity by 40%

According to the article featured in USA TODAY, the researchers argue that “Our findings challenge the popular myth that is unavoidable and it runs in the family” says senior researcher Ruth Loos of Great Britain;s medical Research Council in Cambridge.
