ACSM recommends resistance training- Types of Strength training

American College Sports of Medicine recommends that Strength training it is the best exercise program (Pilates in #9 and Yoga #14). Strength training is defined traditionally as that exercise program that uses added resistance (hypertrophy, endurance-conditioning) or own’s body weight (Yoga, pilates, plyometrics runnin…g, swimming) to increase strength,. However most of the studies are leaning to those types of exercise program that uses added resistance to own’s body weight. Take a look at Mayo’s clinic recommendation for strength training (weights)
Circuit training it is one of the best absolute ways of seeing fast physical results since you are burning calories at the same time of seeing an increase of lean muscle mass and a reduction of body fat.
