Breast Cancer and Exercise
November 24, 2010
Really excited that I have been invited Today to give a Conference for Breast Cancer Survivors. This phenomenal group has created a wonderful and important cause: Tennis for Life.
Saturday: They meet every Sunday and play Tennis. In addition of playing Tennis every Sunday they invite speakers. I will be speaking about my SUPER BODY, SUPER BRAIN book and of the importance of following a strength training program and how exercise can help your immune system besides of being a powerful emotional asset.
Monday: It was such a great pleasure to be speaking with amazing women. We were talking about Super body, Super Brain, the emotional component of exercise, how to improve a brain muscle connection and how by doing strength training exercises this amazing women would be able to improve their tennis performance.
I will be designing a specific exercise routine to help them with strength, balance, coordination and physical performance. Stay tuned!
According to the National Cancer Institute California researchers have found that strenuous long-term physical activity decreases a woman’s risk of invasive and in situ breast cancer, according to study results published in the February 26, 2007, Archives of Internal Medicine (see the journal abstract).
