Today is my tenth year Anniversary since arriving to USA. Thanks for your support!
Today is my tenth year Anniversary since I arrived to United States. I still remember when I was a toddler and my mom would bring me to spend long summers in the Midwest: Stillwater, Minnesota, Pekin, Illinois, and Cape Coral, Florida.
Since I was a little kid United States played such an important part in my upbringing: memories about the it warmth of my american family, the freedom of opportunities and such a beautiful country full of wonderful people.
Then I stayed in Spain for 27 years, went to college, graduated from Economics, played semi professional basketball in Estudiantes and worked as an Investment banker for Santander Central Hispano Bank but I was still missing something, I was missing United States.
It looks like yesterday when i said to my parents, friends and family “I am moving to New York” and my friends at that time asked me to do what? Did you get a job? I said No. I have nothing in new York, no family, no connections but I feel that I need to move there. At that time I thought I would end up working in Banking.
I jumped into a plane and i was ready for my exciting journey. The plane landed at 3:45 pm at JFK. : It was 18th of May 2002, I was wearing my spanish banking suit, with my initials on my shirt and an episode happened at the plane that looked to indicate on the really difficult times ahead. My suitcase got stuck in the luggage compartment of Iberia flight 6251 from Madrid. I delayed the whole plane and specialists in stuck luggages came to my rescue and asked me: What did you pack here? a dead body? I was sweating and laughing at the same time. I packed everything I could from Spain That episode in the plane landing on that 20th of May of 2002 only recalled few years ago it was anticipating that maybe my New York journey just started and to sit tight cause hurdles, ups and downs were coming my way.
For the last 10 years I have been researching, developing and perfectioning a new exercise program for the brain and the body with the advice of a Neuroscientist from Columbia University, a Neurologist from NYU, Kinesiologists, Psychiatrists and thousands of training sessions. I then became a Certified Professional Trainer from the National Academy of Sports of Medicine. In 2004 I earned the Prestigious Fitness Excellence Award by The Governor of Minnesota , Tim Pawlenty and a St Paul City Mayor, Chris Coleman. Currently I am implementing my program nationwide from Sports medicine & Fitness Centers to Hospitals and Schools. I have been featured extensively in over 27 media outlets Media including Redbook, Fox News, Prevention, O and Fitness magazines, msnbc.com and CNN Headline news.
Super Body, Super Brain has gained so much popularity in the medical community that a Hospital in Minnesota has awarded the program with a $25,000 grant for an individualized Super Body, Super Brain program for Parkinson disease and now the program is in advanced stages to launch in a Hospital in NJ for Breast Cancer patients. The popular show “Extra” featured the program and called it a great way to “Challenge your body and your mind”.
This journey has just started and I am very thankful that you are always there supporting me. Thanks a million
This is a collection of few great times. THANKS A MILLION!
